What is the role?
As Scrum Master of our global Development team you keep all parties on track and informed
The Scrum Master hosts daily team meetings to get updates on the progress of the project, address potential roadblocks, and ensure that the project is on track. They also host regular sessions to share updates with product stakeholders about how the project is progressing (or not).
The team is working out of multiple regions in the world with a focus in Europe and Australia. The different timezones requires flexibility in working ours with it own threats as opportunities. As Scrum Master you coach your Team Members.
The Scrum Master serves as the coach for the development team and the product owner. One of their key responsibilities is to ensure that the team is adequately trained to understand Agile processes, the team members know their specific roles and are dedicated to the project. The Scrum Master helps the product owner refine and maintain the backlog by using information gathered from standup meetings. They schedule review meetings and prioritize work on user stories.
As Scrum Master you Host Daily Stand-up Meetings and all other Scrum rituals.
The Scrum Master keeps the team organized and on track by hosting daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, etc. Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
As Scrum Master you teach Scrum Practices and Principles. The Scrum Master is well proficient in key Scrum practices and processes. They play the role of a mentor to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees and team members. The Scrum Master helps new members understand the scope and vision of a product and ensures work does not slow down. It is their task to make sure that the team follows Scrum practices and rules while working. They teach the team ways to stay self-organized and focused, which in turn improves productivity.
Other qualifications & Skills:
Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams Flexible in working hours during the day to accommodate follow the sun development.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of product or project development experience, or 3 years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation tech-niques Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
