Job Description:

They are seeking a talented and tech-savvy individual with a background in Software Testing or web performance testing to join our team as a Web Performance Test Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding our clients towards optimized performance and improving their web experiences.

Responsibilities:

As a Web Performance Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing Test Plans and Cases: Prepare comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
• Performing Tests: Execute manual and automated tests, run scripts, and review results across various aspects, such as functionality, user interface, compatibility, performance, and regression.
• Recording and Documenting Results: Accurately record technical issues and bugs, and effectively communicate these findings to the development team for resolution.
• Collaborating with Development Team: Work closely with the development team to address software defects and assist in the design and deployment of fixes.
• Maintaining Test Environments: Set up, manage, and troubleshoot the testing environment to provide a stable platform for testing activities.
• Performing Debugging: Perform initial debugging to provide a starting point for developers to investigate when test cases fail.
• Updating Test Cases: Keep test cases up to date to match new or altered functionalities as per product specifications.
• Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports detailing testing activities, identified issues, and the resolution status of these issues.
• Ensuring Quality Standards: Ensure that all testing activities meet and, if possible, exceed the quality standards set by the organization.
• Keeping Current: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to maintain expertise in web performance testing. Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
• Passion for web technologies: Stay updated with the constantly changing landscape and have a basic understanding of the technologies used to build websites.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Solid understanding of SDLC to add value at each stage of the software testing process.
• Proficiency in Test Automation: Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, PlayWright, WebDriverIO, etc., and the ability to integrate these tools into build pipelines (Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Experience with collecting lab and field data using RUM & Synthetic testing tools.
• Basic development skills.
• Ability to respectfully challenge peers and welcome being challenged.
• Effective communication at both technical and business levels.
